Our Menu

Georgina’s Café offers lots of British favourites together with a smattering of deliciously different dishes.

The inspiration and driving force for Georgina’s is rooted in the quality cafés of the 1920s and 30s – high quality food and drink, comfortable surroundings and quiet,  attentive service.

Our Menu is an eclectic mix of traditional British and continental foods made with quality ingredients and prepared and served to the highest standards.

In addition to the normal menu we also offer some very special “Specials” from time to time.

Breakfasts

Georgina’s Great British Breakfast is the best way to start a really active day – with locally sourced bacon and sausages, eggs and all the trimmings.

Or you can select from a number of lighter alternatives. We also offer croissants, muesli, scrambled eggs and cheese, or bacon and tomatoes.

Snacks

Our tempting lighter mid-day snacks include special French toast with sugar and spice, a Cheddar Rarebit, and Soup with fresh bread and cheese.

Luncheon

Georgina’s offers a very wide range of lunch alternatives, depending on the season, from scrumptious home made pies and salads to Club Sandwiches, Burgers, fish & chips and inspired Quiches. There’s also a wide range of delightfully tasty sandwiches.

Afternoon Tea

Britannia may no longer rule the waves but the British still know how to take afternoon tea (or coffee) in the most civilised way.

Georgina’s has a delicious selection of cakes and scones, and afternoon teas, teacakes and ice cream.

They say, quite rightly, that Britons never shall be slaves but the line should have an additional few words on the end: “except to afternoon tea”.

Hot Drinks

Our teas – either “black” blends like Yorkshire Tea or delicate Earl Grey and refreshing Green Tea – are all sourced from the world-famous Taylor’s Tea company based just twenty miles away in Harrogate.

From the same experienced and accomplished source we also offer a range of herbal infusions including Chamomile, Peppermint, Blackberry and Raspberry.

Our coffees are excellent – either by the cup as Latte, Espresso, Mocha or Cappuccino – or in cafetières of medium roast Taylor’s coffee.

And last but very definitely not least, Georgina’s serves up some of the best Hot Chocolate to be found. Suchard chocolate, topped with shaved chocolate. And if you wish to really treat yourself you can try Georgina’s Special Hot Chocolate.

Cold Drinks

As you’d expect, our cold drinks are from the very best suppliers. We serve Coca Cola by the bottle – exactly as it should be – and we offer three of the most delicious British “botanically-brewed beverages” from Fentiman’s (Victorian Lemonade, Seville Orange Jigger, and Dandelion and Burdock).

Even our bottled water is local. We sell only Harrogate Spa bottled water – from the Queen of Spas where Royalty and the Nobility once took the cure and where real spa mineral water is still drawn from the peaty earth to sake modern thirsts.

Alcoholic Drinks

Georgina’s is fully licensed to sell wines, beers and spirits and we offer a carefully-selected range to complement our food.

We offer wine by the glass, the bottle and the half bottle from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Chile and France.

You can also treat yourself to Moet Chandon Brut Champagne by the glass, half bottle and bottle.

Our selection of beer has been hand-picked to bring our customers the best beers, ales, lagers and Pilseners from around the world – local English beers like Black Sheep Ale, York Minster beer and Centurion’s Ghost ale plus a range of the very best lagers and Pilseners including Kronenburg 1664, Peroni, Budweiser, Grolsch and Becks.

You can also try one of Georgina’s special Gin & Tonics or sip a Hardy’s sherry or a Cockburn’s Special Reserve Port with your snack.
